On the morning of May 4, 2018, the school invited Prof. Wu Shulian to give a special report on the evaluation of the university. Principal Chen Jiachuan presided over the report meeting. Departmental cadres and professors Zheng Zheng attended the report meeting, and related personnel of our school participated.
Prof. Wu Shulian came straight to the point and directly combined with the rankings of Chinese universities in 2018, the rankings of Qilu Institute of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), and conducted detailed explanations and explanations on indicators system, item scores, advantages and disadvantages, and analysis of reasons. The impact of the merger with the Academy of Sciences on the sub-item scores was also analyzed. At the end, nine specific opinions and suggestions were put forward under the theme of “Let diligence become habits and make excellence a habit”.
There are quite a number of controversies in the university rankings, but from the analysis of indicators and sub-scores, we can clearly clarify our problems and efforts in the education and teaching process. Only diligence can lead to excellence.
