April 4, 2018 was an important time node for the development of disciplines and platforms in our college. On the morning of this day, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shandong Provincial Government jointly established the “Ministry of Science and Technology” in the Shandong Building for Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). The National Institute of Green Paper and the National Key Laboratory of Green Paper made a special consultation on the construction work. After the meeting, Guo Zhiwei, the deputy director of the Basic Research Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology visited our key laboratory.
At the consultation, Huang Wei, member of the Party and Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Yu Jie, a member of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and deputy governor, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The principal (dean) and the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Papermaking jointly established by the Provincial Ministry of Education Professor Chen Jiachuan from the basic situation of the school, the purpose and significance of the laboratory construction, the basis for the construction of the laboratory, the planning of the laboratory construction, The report on the construction of laboratories was reported in five aspects including the objectives of laboratory construction. Wang Yinglong, secretary of the Party Committee, reported that the school (Academy of Sciences) as the supporting unit has provided guarantees for the construction and operation of the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Papermaking jointly established by the Ministry of Education. Sun Bin, Vice Mayor of Jinan City, reported on the construction of the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Papers supported by the Ministry of Finance and Industry of Jinan City. Participating leaders and comrades also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the construction, operation, and management of laboratories, and reached consensus on advancing laboratory construction.
All the staff of our hospital did not participate in the consultation meeting at Shandong Building. Director Gong Fangong led the deputy director Guo Zhiwei and his team visited the site of the key laboratory in our hospital. The inspection lasted for more than one hour. Director Guo fully and thoroughly understood the situation. Inquired about the situation in various aspects, and put forward sound and direct opinions and requirements on the construction and management of key laboratories.
At this point, our college’s teaching, research, and platforms have all been certified at the national level, and we will move toward a higher goal at a new starting point!
