The fourth meeting of the Ministry of Education’s College Guidance Committee for Light Industry Teaching was held on October 29-31, 2016 at Tianjin University of Science and Technology. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Education's College of Light Industry Teaching Steering Committee, Tianjin University of Science and Technology and Tianjin University of Technology. It was organized by Sichuan University, South China University of Technology, Donghua University, Wuhan University, Jiangnan University, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and Shaanxi Science and Technology. Twenty-four universities from 44 universities, including East China University of Technology, East China University of Technology, Beijing Institute of Graphic Arts, and Qilu University of Technology, attended. The participants are mainly members of the Ministry of Education's College of Light Industry Teaching Steering Committee and representatives of relevant institutions of higher learning. Our teacher Li Ronggang attended the meeting.
The main topics of the meeting include:
1. Progress in light industry professional engineering certification;
2. To study the establishment of a light industry professional certification subcommittee (pilot work group);
3. Discuss the working methods (draft) for the light industry professional certification subcommittee;
4. Packaging Engineering Professional Steering Group 2016 meeting report;
5. Work Report on the Sixth National University Students' Packaging Design Competition;
6. Printing and packaging professional construction and professional certification seminar situation;
7. A summary of the 2016 work of the Light Industry Teaching Council;
8. Identify the themes and issues for the fifth meeting of the Committee on Light Industry Education, the venue and time of the meeting.
Academician Han Jinyu, President of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and Academician Shi Bi, Director of the Light Industry Teaching Guidance Committee, respectively delivered opening remarks.
Director of China Light Industry Council Meng Qi and Secretary-general of the Committee on Light Industry Teaching and Research appointed Professor He Youjie of Sichuan University to explain the progress of light industrial engineering certification and the establishment of light industry professional certification subcommittee. Sichuan University Associate Professor Chen Hui from the Faculty of Textiles and Foods introduced the work flow of the Light Industry Professional Certification Subcommittee. Delegates discussed the working methods of the light industry professional certification subcommittee. Professor Wang Zhiwei of Jinan University reported on the major work of the Packaging Engineering Professional Steering Group in 2016 and the organization of the “6th National College Student Packaging Structure Design Competition”. Prof. Wan Xiaoxia from Wuhan University made a work report on the Seminar on Printing Packaging Professional Construction and Professional Certification held by the Printing Engineering Professional Group in 2016. Professor He Youjie, Secretary-General of Sichuan University, explained the national standards for training quality of light industry professionals. Teach the Committee to discuss the 2017 annual work plan and lay out the relevant work; discuss the topics and topics of each professional group meeting, recommend the venue and time of the meeting; discuss the themes and issues of the 2017 DMC Fifth Conference, and recommend the venue and time of the meeting. After discussion, it was determined that the fifth meeting of the 2017 DMC will be held in Shaanxi University of Science and Technology in October 2017.
